About Karen

Karen Braysher Hair On Wheels Karen is a fully qualified professional hairdresser who lives in Brighton, Sussex.

Since her early days as a Saturday girl in a local salon, Karen has had a broad background in the arts which gives "Hair on Wheels" it's distinctive edge as an independent service.

Her formative years were spent as a professional singer guitarist, performing in hotels in the Middle East, Scandinavia and the UK.

Karen has always viewed hairdressing as an art form and in 1989 had a career change and qualified with the World Federation of Supreme hairdressers, followed by the Vidal Sassoon academy of hairdressing, later completing NVQ3 Hairdressing and teaching 7307 at Brighton and Lewes Technical College.

In August 2005, Karen spent a week at the creative school of Vidal Sassoon and gained a new qualification in creative hairdressing.

One of Karen's hair designs was featured on the March 2004 issue of the FHBF magazine "Highlights"

Karen is a freelance photographer for hair fashions. The photographs below and the pictures on the home page were all taken by Karen.
